Mortgage Expo

Yesterday was my 100th post on this Blog and I wanted to do a pic of a Birthday Cake to celebrate - silly me - in the excitement of doing another Blog post I completely forgot about it
I suppose today’s big news is that the 2006 Mortgage Expo in London is taking place. Apparently there are 230 Exhibitors and, after glancing at the list, I notice the secured loans industry is well represented.
Early news seeping out of the event, is that the FSA have said affordability is the overriding factor in debates about income multiples and ,in a similar vein, the industry has been debating which rate, fixed or variable, is the most appropriate for borrowers on high income multiples.
There’s also been lively debate about self cert, with people saying a small percentage of brokers are continuing to give inappropriate advice despite numerous warnings from the industry and the FSA.
I suppose more news will come out as time progresses
