A Black Letter Day?

Filed under: Secured Loans Industry, Payment Protection (PPI), Exclude Chit Chat — The Introducer at 5:45 pm on Monday, June 19, 2006

I notice the Post Office are introducing low cost Payment Protection Insurance (PPI). I know other specialist insurance providers do low cost PPI, like Paymentcare and other primarily Internet based ones, but the problem with the Post Office doing it, is that it will attract a lot more publicity.

They will also get some positive press coverage from also providing cover for bad-backs and stress related disorders, which standard Secured Loans PPI don’t cover.

Although this is not a pivotal announcement for the Secured Loans market, it could cause more snow to gather on the ball launched by the investigation into PPI by the Office of Fair Trading (OFT).
